PLP-101f: AES/SNOW 3G streaming Crypto Offload Protocol Engine (sCOPE)
Elliptic’s PLP-101f is a highly integrated, silicon proven offload security engine which can be connected to the embedded processor through an SPI or GMII interface and fully supports both AES CTR/CMAC and SNOW 3G processing for LTE eNodeB applications required for full compliance to Release 9 of the standard.
The 3GPP/LTE security algorithms are governed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). In Release 9 of the standard, the encryption algorithms are referred to as 128-EEA1 and 128-EEA2 and the integrity algorithms are referred to as 128-EIA1 and 128-EIA2. The AES/SNOW 3G sCOPE supports all these modes, as well as the modes defined in Release 7 and Release 8.
