Vijay Dube, President and CEO

Vijay website bw2Vijay has over 30 years of experience in mobile wireless, semiconductors, multi-media and consumer electronics. Vijay was formerly COO at Wavesat, a 4G Broadband Wireless company. He also served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Atsana, a semiconductor company developing video and imaging chipsets for mobile handsets. Vijay co-founded Dipix Technologies, which was subsequently acquired by Dalsa-Coreco. He has been recently advising startup technology companies as part of his role with NRC-IRAP. Vijay holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Mike Borza, CTO

Borza website bw 120 x 139 3Mike is responsible for technology strategy, and has over 20 years of experience with high technology companies. He has been an active contributor to the Security Task Group of IEEE 802.1 and was an editor of the 802.1AR Secure Device Identifier standard. Prior to founding Elliptic, he was a founder and CTO of network security appliances company Startle Networks. At Chrysalis-ITS (now Safenet), he worked with customers of the Luna series of network security processors as Director of Applications Engineering. Earlier in his career, he was involved in biometric identity management systems design, safety-critical systems engineering, and optoelectronics design and manufacturing. Mike was a founding director of the business networking forum: The Ottawa Network.

Mike Kelly, CFO

Mike Kelly bw website 120 x 139Mike is a senior executive with 25 years of business experience across a broad spectrum of business environments. Prior to co-founding Van Tol Kelly, Mike was CFO for Gridpoint Systems, Firsthand Technologies and Space Bridge where he was involved in establishing business strategy, creating business plans, and developing and implementing processes and procedures in growth oriented environments. In addition, Mike was involved in closing in excess of $70M of venture capital, and participating in the sale of two technology start-ups. Mike has also held senior roles in major public companies including Newbridge Networks, Business Unit Portfolio Management and SHL Systemhouse Inc. Mike is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University.

Patrick Offers, VP of Engineering

Patrick Offers website bw 120 x 139Patrick Offers has many years of experience as an Engineering Manager in the technology and semiconductor fields. He is results-oriented, and has built and led high-performing engineering teams composed of staff with diverse backgrounds, in very small and very large companies, in different application areas, including from the ground up. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, and is a founder and VP of Engineering at Elliptic Technologies Inc.


Ogi Brkic, VP of Marketing and Business Development

Ogi website bw 120 x 139 2Ogi has over 16 years of experience in semiconductor industry covering graphics, wireless, programmable logic and power management. Ogi was formerly Director of notebook graphic at AMD responsible for managing their entire P&L including business development, product management and sales enablement. Ogi also worked at ATI, Conexant/Philsar, Lattice Semiconductors and local power management start-up called Potenita Semiconductors. Ogi holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and MBA degree from the Rotman School of Management.


James Mac Hale, VP of Worldwide Field Operations

James MacHale website3James has more than 25 years experience in the semiconductor IP industry helping companies achieve rapid revenue growth in roles such as VP Worldwide Sales and VP Asia Operations at Sonics, Inc. and VP Asia Operations at MIPS Technologies, Inc. He began his career as a technical marketing engineer with Nihon Software Kaihatsu in Japan. James holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a B. Eng. from University College, Ireland. James' experience spans across processors, graphics, network-on-chip and security.

Dana Neustadter, Director of Product Management

Dana bw website 120 x 139Dana has 18 years of diversified experience in the areas of embedded security, semiconductor and EDA. In her current role as Director of Product Management, Dana is responsible for establishing the strategic product vision and for managing the IP portfolio and marketing activities. Prior to joining Elliptic, Dana held various leadership and engineering roles at Mitel Semiconductor, Chrysalis-ITS and Silicon Access Networks. Dana has served as a board of director at Elliptic and is currently an observer board member. Dana holds a Masters and Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Russ Baker, Director of Global Field Applications

Russ website bwRuss has 17 years of experience in the high technology industry, focusing on mobile hardware, software and semiconductor technologies. Prior to his 7 years working at Elliptic, Russ has also held Applications, Sales and Product Management roles in several semiconductor companies, including PMC-Sierra, Solidum and IDT and has also worked in the mobile data terminal system industry. He has also served as an advisor for several companies, including Avalon Microelectronics (recently acquired by Altera). Russ holds a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from the University of Calgary.
